Know Your Child Development to Provide The Right Play


           The world is a world of playing for children. Every play should follow the stages of child development and age. For the children 1-3 years old is the golden age and the 3-6 years old who started up the preschool need games that support the development of physical, cognitive and psychosocial.

Golden Age
            In the golden period, children develop gross motor skills and fine motor skills they had. Children as well experience cognitive growth that makes them act egocentric, inflexible to change, also social understanding is even limited. Additionally, children will too have times once they felt anxious to part away with their parents, and the shame and doubt when facing a situation.

Toddler
            Entering the toddler age, physical growth had reached its peak. This is apparent from the developing child's brain to the adult brain size at age 3 years and reached 90% of the brain of adults as the age of 5 years. Muscles and bones of the body grew as his physical growth. Children begin to establish contact with people outside his home environment. They like group that is often involved in the environment and the courage to face new social situations challenging for them.
           
            Playing for children is an activity attempted solely for pleasance. Play activities should come initiative from theirself and can make them happy and joyfun. Had better parents introduce various types of play to children. The important thing is child's play must have a physical value, therapeutic value, educational value, creative value, the value of self-knowledge, social values and moral values.

Choosing The Right Toys for Kids by Age: 3-6 years

Toys by Age: 3-4 years 
Feature of this group of age is the growing of ability of socialization. Characteristics parallel play (playing with the same material but each playing independently) began to disappear, and replaced by associative play. In this game, children engage in joint activities, but the relative time spent on their own.
Children love to play outside, pretending to be a TV character or hero, they like playing the water, slide, swing, seesaw, construction toys, painting then writing stories about the paintings, painting, coloring, cutting, and likes to move when listening to regular rhythm.
Toys by Age: 4-5 years 
Social games that have been growing at the age of three years growing at this age. The children began playing together for a common goal. They also began to follow the rules of the game. In play, children like to "fight", pretending to fall, become a monster, a guessing game, a picture puzzle, play cards or checkers is simple, dominoes, snakes steps, playing hide and seek, and roller skating.

Choosing The Right Toys for Kids by Age; 1-3 years


Toys by Age: Age 1-2 years

The child can already walk at this time.
The world becomes so vast and exciting. Play tag, chasing the ball could make him happy. Tools play that match at this stage is toys that develop motor skills, such as arrange jigsaw, puzzles, blocks, swings, slide and so on.
They need instruments that stimulate the imagination, like a doll, furniture, cars, or phone. Also toys that stimulate creativity, such as crayon or brush. Children also begin to love playing swing outdoor. At this age, children can be introduced to number, shape, pattern, picture book or story book.
 

Toys by Age: Age 2-3 years

How To Choose Toys for Children?


If you are going to buy toys for your children, you should note these points below:
1. Make sure its safety. Avoid toxic toys, sharp toys or have sharp parts, made of glass or other materials that easily broken, and causing a loud noise. Loud toys may disturb the drum membrane of children’s ear. Select also which is not flammable.
2. Make sure you buy toys that are not easy to swallow. Especially for children less than 3 years old, do not choose toys that contain small parts. These parts may cause choking hazards.
3. Pay attention to design and construction quality toys for all age levels.
4. Make sure that you understand all the instructions manual clearly and more importantly, your child too.
5. Consider whether your child is interested in the toy. As far as possible describe the utility with an easy language he/she understands.
6. Choose toys by age and ability.
Choosing toys by age and children's ability are necessary. At every stage of development, children need different stimuli.
Options any instrument to play should reflect their needs. Toys those are too difficult to make a child's despair. As for toys that are too easy to make children feel bored.
