Go Green! With Vegetable Plants

Creating calm atmosphere in the house not only can be done with ornamental plants. Ingredients plants and vegetables plants can also create a beautiful ambience and scenery.
A correct election system and the type of vegetables will cause a pretty impression to the house without foreclose the space.
There are several important things for its implementation in the home yard, such as plant selection media (soil) as a provider of media of hara elements.
Note also the type of plant, where the implant can be directly in the ground or use a pot. Pot has some type: vertical, horizontal, or a single pot.
Position and location also must be considered where there are plants which require full sunlight, such as chili. And there are also plants that do not require full sunlight, such as tomatoes and cauliflower.
For Acrisol typed soil which has a slightly acid pH and the availability of a less hara element needs an addition of ground elements burly.
Burnt soil may be selected as ground media. Or select the land with high pority. High pority land is characterized with breaking if held and doesn't become brittle when dry.

To prepare the planting media, separate the soil from its hard fractions, such as stone or wood, then mix with compost fertilizer with the comparison 1: 1 or 1: 2 plus one tablespoon of limestone building for each pot.
If necessary can be added 1-2 grams of urea fertilizer is evenly mixed into the soil in a pot.
Fertilization can be repeated each week with a dose of one tablespoon of urea that is solved in 10 liters of water when watering the plants. For the adult, dose is two-time can be improved.
When harvesting, cut only leaves that will be consumed, while the stem is left intact. This aiming to prolong in cultivating the young leaves which will grow for the next harvest.
Happy gardening!

CORAL BLEACHING

Coral bleaching is the loss of color of corals, due to an environmental stress-induced expulsion of symbiotic unicellular algae or due to the loss of pigmentation within the algae. The release of the symbiotic colored algae normally living within coral animals, which occurs when coral animals are stressed and makes the coral appear whites. Environmental stress such as global warming, increased water temperature, pollution or sedimentation. There are three main causes for coral bleaching; primary cause is high water temperature.
- increase of 1.5˚ - 2˚ for 6 to 8 weeks = can trigger bleaching
- same increase › 8 weeks = corals begin to die
- affects reefs at regional to global scale (global warming huge cause)
- severe and wide spread bleaching can occur known as mass-bleaching event
Second main cause is disease. Disease in coral usually at local scale. Infectious bacteria attacking the symbiotic algae. One such agent has been later identified as Vibrio shiloi. The pathogen is infectious only during warm periods; therefore, global warming would increase the occurrence of conditions that promote the spread of infection.
Third main cause is pollutants. It is usually at local scale either. Chemical runoff (fertilizers, industrial waste etc.) into the water can cause the coral to expel the algae.
